“To be the hub of our community for God, being innovative, proactive,
engaging and welcoming to all people”
Church Goals
LOOKING INWARD
1. Church prayer life growth
• to be a prayerful church, shown by involvement in prayer activities,
such as prayer groups, prayer triplets, home groups & special purpose
prayer meetings
2. Spiritual development / Growth
• Developing church ministry, according to the available gifts of church
members
• Encourage and nurture individual gifts, through education, mentoring,
experimentation & practice
• Church attendance & membership commitment, where worship services are
given priority & participants/adherents become members in increasing
numbers
• Uphold Godly family living, through the application of sermons,
parenting materials/courses to support and nurture one another
• Education for outward ministry, by interaction with sermon material,
home group discussions & various training courses
3. Fellowship with each other
• through a variety of Church family activities with the importance of
maintaining relationships
4. Worship Services that are
• Welcoming to all people
• Creative & engaging
• Relevant to all ages in worship style / ministry
5. Pastoral Support system that:
• Develops, evaluates and improves a coordinated pastoral network
• Responds to church family (and local community) needs both
spiritually and practically
LOOKING OUTWARD
6. Develop church profile and relationships in the local community.
• through connecting with local groups and activities, for example the
“Point Cook Market”
7. Develop innovative programs for connecting with:
7.1 Children
• by committing significant resources to this age group in our church
and local community
7.2 Youth
• short term goal to be involved with other groups
• long term goal to develop and support our own youth group
7.3 Families, young adults, single people and couples with no children.
• awareness of activities / programs
LOOKING FOR RESOURCES
8. To be financially independent, whereby the average weekly offerings
meet all budgeted expenses
9. To be content where we currently meet, trusting God for the future;
and when opportunities arise, seeking God’s direction, by prayer and
exploring each opportunity
10. To maintain regular budgeted support of missionary work both local
and abroad
